This is the basement of Bruce Stern from Connecticut. I did a google search for "gun room under 1860's manor house" and all of the needed information came up. Links to other discussion boards about his life and collection along with his ties to the NRA. No truth to anything about Charlton Heston. Doesn't take much to verify these things, with the internet like it is. I think I read that the entire collection sold for almost $12,000,000. More than $4,000,000 more than the low estimate for the collection. One impressive collection, that's for sure.

Thank you Mike for correcting me. Received the wrong information in an email. Thanks for the information on the collection. Sold for $12 Mil? Wow. That's great. I love to see collectible items like guns and cars gain value. I'll change the header now. Yes you're right, one impressive collection indeed. I'm in awe.
You are all idiots. This is not even close to what you are talking about. Do some more verification before you post incorrect information. Bruce Stern's collection was indeed one of the finest in the world, but this is certainly not it.
It would be interesting to know who's collection this is. It is definitely not Bruce Stern's collection. I saw that collection every day for my entire life and that is not the house I lived in.
Who is Bruce Stern?? Are You sure your not talking about Bruce Dern?Oh Bruce Dern would have know Charlie Heston alright, They were both actor,s.Why Bruce Dern had a cabin by South Lake Tahoe, California and that surely doe,s not look like Tahoe area. I am confused, Guess I bit the bullet on this one...
This is a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that I strive to live by: "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success."
